Baby Jacob & Co.

The great thing about this job (outside of getting to spend time with these precious babies) is the opportunity to reconnect with friends from the past. It’s being able to see the tracks of time that have created new families, new life. The morning after Thanksgiving, I photographed Jen & Chris’s new little bundle of joy-and that’s exactly what he is…a bundle of joy. Babies melt me, big time (as if, you didn’t already know that). Just look at those lashes and lips!

Peace, Love & Family

Angie is one of the first people I met when we moved to Winnetka. A mutual friend of ours introduced us via email, this summer (thanks again, Lindsey!). We met up for dinner one night and 3 hours later we were still chatting. I’m so glad you’re my “neighbor” and that you chose me to photograph your beautiful family. You guys are great! Happy Thanksgiving!! xo

The Lucky Ones

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with this sweet family, about 2 hours south of Chicago. I went to college with mom and dad (previously and also known as Erica & Tom:). It always makes it easier when you have a connection with the family you are photographing. I still get butterflies and  usually don’t sleep much the night before my sessions, because I’m too busy thinking about how I can capture the authentic moments and expressions in just 2 short hours together. Well, Erica, Tom & Co. made it easy. You guys are just as great as you were back in college, only better. Thanks for trusting me to capture your beautiful family. I hope you love these as much as I do!
